Short intro

Ten is the ninth studio album by American hard rockheavy metal band Y&T, released in 1990 through Geffen Records. It was recorded in 1989 and is the last Y&T album released before they disbanded in 1991. Joey Alves had left the band in 1989 and was replaced on rhythm guitar by Stef Burns, while Steve Smith recorded the majority of the drum tracks in place of Jimmy DeGrasso. Side one. Hard Times - 5:14. Lucy - 4:43. Don't Be Afraid of the Dark - 4:51. Stef Burns replaced Joey Alves on rhythm guitar for the album after he left the band in 1989. Personnel: Dave Meniketti - vocals, guitar Stef Burns - guitar Phil Kennemore - Bass Jimmy DeGrasso - drums on City, She's Gone & Goin' Off the Deep End Steve Smith - drums on all tracks except City, She's Gone and. By the time Y&T released Ten in 1990, they were well past their prime, but they at least had the chance of riding the tail-end of the hair metal era. However, Ten just didn't deliver the goods. Don't Be Afraid of the Dark has a good riff, but much of the record lacks a strong hook - it's just well-produced, slick mainstream metal without much style or flair. Every album Y&T put out is just kick you in your face metal just listen to tracks like Girl Crazy, Hard Times, Don't be afraid of the dark, Red hot & Ready, Ten Lovers, and one of my favorites Goin' off the deep end. All other tracks are great too Who ever said this album was one of their weaker one's does not know great music if it punched them in the face.
