I have had 9 copies of this release... All came with warped records (record 4 every time)! This is the worst quality control that I have ever seen. These aren't storage warps, these are manufacturing warps. Very disappointed.

Well, after 13 or 14 copies, I finally got lucky! Nice to finally own this and listen to it. Sound quality is amazing. Very happy.

it's a shame really, been hearing my copy today and i've been hearing few pops/clicks, then i go check on the discs and i find these like scuffed small scratches over some places on the surface... and i say it's a shame cause they sound more than well enough for me wanting to keep it, but i think i am going to have either to try for a replacement or just accept defeat and request a refund. It is kinda frustrating that they ask basically for premium payment and they can't offer premium quality. Even the hard cover booklet they add has few specs of dust stuck between the pages, idk how they just can't work in a clean environment.

Has anyone compared this the original? Any difference in sound?

I have both this pressing and the original. I have to say, hearing this pressing is very, very close, if not better, than the original. Cut from analogue masters, little to no surface noise, no pops, and great balancing.

This was my holy grail. I've been collecting vinyl for around 10 years now, I'm a huge Pink Floyd fan, have everything on vinyl...no originals unfortuntely, but various releases...some older, from the 70s, some these newer reissues. All of them sound absolutely amazing. I knew Pulse was going to be reissued when they started reissuing everything. This is the most I payed for any album (I rarely buy boxsets), but it's worth absolutely every penny. Beautiful sound, amazing artwork and design, beautiful book with photos. I wanted this on vinyl since I started buying records and now I finally have it. Enjoying every second of it. This is probably the best live ever recorded.

This album sounds fantastic, better than the original CD as well. Almost no "live" background sound, instruments are all very clear, present and separated, and powerful bass. Turn it up loud for full immersion. The vinyl is very clean (on par with the other recent re-issues, which have all sounded great as well), and the packaging is amazing. Each record is in its own sleeve with another inner sleeve as well (each with amazing artwork to boot). I also love that they put the record number on the spine of each sleeve, making it really easy to tell what is what without having to take everything out of the main box sleeve.Has anyone found protective sleeves big enough for this box? i have some oversized sleeves for box sets, but even those are too small...

Yes, this was on CD as well. I don't know if it was also reissued on CD in 2018, but I can't imagine that it's difficult to find copies of the original 1995 release or its subsequent re-releases (there are two issues of the CD that I know of...one with an LED light and one without). I bought this in 1995 on CD and it didn't have a ton of audience noise either. You heard them between songs, and there are a couple of tracks where they sang along.

“Almost” no audience noise. It’s not completely gone, and can be heard more between some tracks than others, but I think they did a good job minimizing it. I’m not sure about other releases.

Wow. What an incredible sounding reissue. I've been a big fan of Pulse since I first bought the CD back in 1995, and always thought that my CD copy sounded great. Original pressings are quite pricey, and will burn a hole in your wallet for around $200-$600. I was content with my CD, and had made up my mind that I would never have this on vinyl. Well, that all changed when I found out about this reissue. I'm here to say, that this is THE DEFINITIVE release for this album. Pink Floyd really did an incredible with this, and really with all of their current catalog reissues. Buy with confidence!

Man this sounds fantastic! A very few pops here and there but I think it just needs a deep clean. I've been wanting this for so long and it is such a beautiful package. Just blown away. I have around 2/3 of the new PF reissues and of course they sound great but there are some quality control issues as have been noted on several forums and reviews here on discogs. They really went out of their way with this one. Highly recommended.

the notes say " This is an analogue recording." thats not fully true .. its remasterd from the analog tapes to digital like the whole series b4

Indeed the process I guess needed some digital step, but the recording itself was analogAlso the book wants to replicate the original, and the original book says that so perhaps that's why they bothered to include that line of text
Ballalune

Always tricky those words. But they say it is an analog "recording" (the show was recorded on analog tape) not that the release on vinyl is 100% analog.
