Short intro

The Pink Floyd RoIO Database indexes all know unofficialbootleg recordings of Pink Floyd. Xref: Ivor Wynne Violence In Birmingham The Great Gig In the Sky Wallive Live 1967-69. Quality: no info. 500 on clear vinyl, 100 on black. A nice set. If you know Pink Floyd collectibles, you know this box set. 10 colored vinyl albums, in two smaller black boxes, in one larger box sleeve. Only 500 were made. This is in near mint condition. I bought it in the late 80s, and played it once to get it on tape. It has been in a glass doored book case for most of its life. There are light penciled track lists written on the paper sleeves of each record. The album can be treated as another turn in Pink Floyd's work - especially in the text layer. The band has deviated from almost purely poetic texts, and focused on matters closer to man, on everyday problems. Roger saved Pink Floyd financially by letting them use one of his solo demo tapes for the badly needed new Pink Floyd album, but his ego had already become too big to work with for the others Floyds and an army of co-workers were called to duty to finish it, plus it was Roger's very personal baby, a very personal cry. I used to own this set. Bought it back in the 80s when I was just a teen. Knew it'd be rare one day. But it got stolen in the 90s. Luckily I still have the cassettes I made. You wouldn't happen to know the date/location of the Shine On and Have A Cigar show? Ranks as one of my favorite performances by them ever. Thanks!
