Track B1: Joe Zawinul is also credited as playing the mzuthra, but this is most likely a typo and it is unclear what this instrument is.Barcodes

Short intro
Tale Spinnin' - Weather Report. Лента с персональными рекомендациями и музыкальными новинками, радио, подборки на любой вкус, удобное управление своей коллекцией. Recorded and released in 1975. Converted from vinyl. Tracks - 1. Man In The Green Shirt 2. Lusitanos 3. Between The Thighs 4. Badia 5. Freezing Fire 6. As a result, Tale Spinnin' has a weightier feel than Mysterious Traveller, while continuing the latter's explorations in Latin-spiced electric jazzfunk. Zawinul's pioneering interest in what we now call world music is more in evidence with the African percussion, wordless vocals, and sandy sound effects of Badia, and his synthesizer sophistication is growing along with the available technology. Tale Spinnin. Our music is the reflection of the state where you arrive as a human being. Joe Zawinul. By the time of Tale Spinnin, we didnt have a band and we had to make a record, Zawinul remembered, and we tried to get a band together, and we rehearsed all the music with the drummer. Zawinul apparently wasnt satisfied with the tracks, and a chance encounter led to Ndugu Leon Chanclers participation. That was a fluke situation, Chancler recalled in 2001. I was still with Santana at the time, but we were on hiatus. I was in the studio with Jean Luc Ponty and Weather Report was rehearsing and recording next door. Though Ndugu Leon Chancler was only with Weather Report for one album, the leadoff track on 1975s Tale Spinnin gives a sense of the momentum he brought into the group. Man in the Green Shirt is a master class in drum technique. Chancler sails through the song like a bird over rapids, but even at lightning speed you can hear every individualized tap and click hes making on his cymbals. That effortless precision is a recurring theme throughout the album, which is also boosted by the unerringly inventive bass playing of Alphonso Johnson. Tale Spinnin' is the fifth studio album by Weather Report, recorded and released in 1975, featuring the addition of Leon Ndugu Chancler on the drums. Ndugu was recruited after Josef Zawinul heard him play with Carlos Santana. Weather Report was recording next door to Ndugu in the studio, and Chancler was asked to join them for a recording session. That session ended up lasting a week and produced Tale Spinnin'. After the record, Ndugu was asked to join the band as a permanent member, but declined in. Tale Spinnin' was their fifth album and as Hal Miller points out in his sleevenote, is the overlooked gem in the Weather Report back catalogue. As it came between the classic Mysterious Traveller and the arrival of bass hero Jaco Pastorius on the follow up Black Market, maybe that's not too surprising, but it's an album that marks a turning point for the band and more importantly contains some stunning music. While Mysterious Traveller took the juicy funk pileups of Sweetnighter and took them on a journey to some uncharted rain-forested planet, Tale Spinnin' is content toRelated to Weather Report - Tale Spinnin'
