Movin Out - The Squires. Larry Blanks. Movin' Out was a regional success in several markets including Chattanooga, Tulsa, OK, and Riverside, Calif. reaching the top 50 and in a couple of cases, the top 10. It was later picked up and included on an Oldies album, this is a good example of late 50's, early 60's Rock 'n Roll instrumental. The Squires or Neil Young & The Squires were a Canadian band formed in 1963 in Winnipeg. It was one of the first bands of singer-songwriter Neil Young. Young formed the Squires in 1963, and the group played at community clubs, high school dances and proms in Winnipeg with Neil on electric guitar. They played a lot of songs by The Shadows, The Ventures, and The Fireballs.
