From the first notes of Sweet Talk, it's obvious that a very different Spiritualized is up and about an acoustic guitar, a sparse drum kit, the voice quartet, a few horns, and a minimal bassline fuel it. It really feels like a continuation of Amazing Grace, with it's more direct approach of recording, seemingly stripped down arrangements, I say seemingly here, because after repeated listens you realize that there's actually quite a lot of instruments being used in most of the songs, but at first they seem very lean and the use of more straight ahead bluesy rock
