Recorded and mixed between 2001 and 2007 at the Chickenhouse, except for extracts of "Alice" which were taken from a recording in 1989. "Moldaviska" is inspired by a Moldavian girl's singing in a film.

Issued in Japan through Disk Union in late 2007 and in the U. by Cuneiform in May of 2008, Viandra which translates as We Others was recorded and mixed between 2001 and 2007 at Lars Hollmer's Chickenhouse studio in Uppsala, Sweden, amidst all the international projects that sent Lars packing up his accordion and rushing to the airport for. Lars Gustav Gabriel Hollmer 21 July 1948 25 December 2008 was a Swedish accordionist, keyboardist and composer, whose work drew on music ranging from Nordic folk tunes to progressive rock. He has been a member andor founder of over half a dozen groups, most of whose work has been recorded at The Chickenhouse, his well outfitted home studio in his hometown of Uppsala. Active in music for over 40 years, Lars Hollmer first got together with his friends to play music in late-'60s Sweden. This band eventually became the legendary Rock In Opposition band Samla Mammas Manna. Lars Hollmer: Viandra. Viandra follows in the same vain as many of Hollmer's previous solo albums where he plays accordionkeyboards and the tracks feature a couple of guest appearances but there are a few subtle differences this time around. Granted that Lars Hollmer's previous albums never sounded forced or uninspired I would actually like to state that this release feels to me even more heart felt and genuine than the artist that I've heard on the previous albums.
