Rice University is fortunate to have. three organs on campus, all of which are associated with the prominent. twentieth-century builder Charles Brenton Fisk. Roland Pomerat. began advocating have a mechanical link between the keys or the pedals and the valve that allows air to flow into pipes. Byers had hired Charles Fisk shortly before this contract, and the Rice Memorial Chapel organ represents a first and a last in organ building for Fisk.
