Short intro

Raampur Ka Lakshman is a 1972 Indian Hindi movie directed by Manmohan Desai. The film was remade in 1978 in Tamil, titled as Mangudi Minor, where Rajinikanth essayed the similar role played by Shatrughan Sinha in the Hindi original. Kedarnath Bhargav, his wife, Laxmi, and two sons, Ram and Lakshman, are homeless. While traveling, their train derails, and the family is separated into three groups. Laxmi works as a maidservant in the house of Bombay's mayor and his daughter, Rekha. The movie story deals with Kedarnath Bhargav, his wife, Laxmi, and two sons, Ram and Lakshman, are homeless. While traveling, their train derails, and and Lakshman re-locate to Ratanlal's village, Raampur, and they live together as one family. Years later, Prakash has grown up, and has re-located to Bombay, where he finds employment with a jeweler. The highlight of Raampur Ka Lakshman is the performance of Randhir Kapoor in the title role. He has nowhere copied his legendary father and developed his own style. Music by R.
