Notes
Recorded live at the Earls Court Exhibition Center on August 9th 1980.Running time: 108:52 minutes
This is a superb upgrade, especially in sound. This has Mono and "Fake" Stereo. Picture quality is not the greatest upgrade but is definitely better than my previous dvd of this show. Disc 1 also contains some very cool extras such as ticket stubs, venue info, storyboards, and more with the album music in the backround. Disc 2 also contains a bonus with the band and others talking about the shows and concept of the wall, very cool. Overall this is one of the best dvd's I have ever seen, it is so nice to finally have this show with some stellar sound and picture upgrade. Get this one if you can, your life may just depend on it !!!!!!.

Short intro
The Wall concert was only performed 31 times in four cities: Los Angeles 7 shows, Uniondale 5, Dortmund 8 and London 11. The primary 'tour'. Divided We Fall, Updated DVD cover. Director Alan Parker shot 35mm film during the 1981 Earls Court shows that was originally to be used in Pink Floyd The Wall the movie. Due to lighting and other staging conflicts, that idea was scrapped in favor of the more surreal narrative that was released. If youre familiar with the live album, youll hear and appreciate the subtle differences in the performances. Gilmours guitar flair is a little different here and theres more of it throughout the show. The Wall Tour was a concert tour by the English progressive rock band Pink Floyd throughout 19801981 in support of their concept album The Wall. The tour was relatively small compared to previous tours for a major release, with only 31 shows in total. The tour was notable for its extensive use of stage theatrics, most notably a giant wall constructed across the stage to convey the sense of alienation present in both the album, and Roger Waters' personal feelings at the time. All alone, or in twos The ones who really love you Walk up and down outside the wall Some hand in hand And some gathered together in bands The bleeding hearts and the artists Make their stand And when they've given you their all Some stagger and fall, after all it's not easy Banging your heart against some mad. Written By. Pink Floyd The Wall is a 1982 musical film directed by Alan Parker, based on the 1979 Pink Floyd album The Wall. The screenplay was written by Pink Floyd vocalist and bassist Roger Waters. Bob Geldof plays rock star Pink, who, driven into insanity by the death of his father, constructs a physical and emotional wall to protect himself. Like the album, the film is highly metaphorical, and symbolic imagery and sound are present most commonly. The film is mostly driven by music and does not feature much. Pink Floyd performed 'The Wall' for the first time on Feb. 7, 1980 at the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Auditorium. Pink Floyd performed the album 31 times over the course of 16 months in only four cities: Los Angeles, New York, London two stops and Dortmund, West Germany. Its grandiosity was built into the concept from the very start by Roger Waters. I always knew it would be a multi-faceted project - a record, followed by shows in just a few cities and then a movie, he told TPI. Audio from the Earls Court dates was released in 2000 as Is There Anybody Out There The Wall Live 198081. Listen free to Pink Floyd The Wall In the Flesh, The Thin Ice and more. 26 tracks 78:21.
