Perspectives are an Australian melodic hardcore band from the northern beaches of Sydney, New South Wales. The band consists of vocalist Rob Scamarcia, guitaristvocalist Fletcher Matthews, bassist Merrick Powell, guitarist Eddie Deal and drummer Jonno Dolan. I'm kind of in disbelief at how many times he says blind on this EP, but if you can ignore the lyrics it's a pretty tight listen. 5 average. lecolumbus May 17th 13. The lyrics really bring this whole thing down, since they're really unignorable. the repetition of the word blind just annoys me to no end. 5 great. In Blind, Perspectives step up their lyrical ability dramatically, creating a record rich with mature and confronting lyricism. Black Hole possesses an infectious melody that builds from the start and peaks in the middle, and echos the incessantly heavy melodic rhythms of bands like Defeater and Touché Amore. In Innocence Behind listeners start to become aware of the continuous theme of being Blind throughout the album. As such, Perspectives could very well be considered a concept album with reoccurring themes of blindness woven throughout.
