It was also released in Europe as The World of Maynard Ferguson but with the sides reversed - not to be confused with the Roulette compilation with the same title. His first record for CBS The Ballad Style of Maynard Ferguson was filled with easy listeningpop recordings, but this would be Maynard's first foray into the world of rock music. As many here, I was also a Maynard fan when this album came out and I was in my teens. The difference now is, being a working drummer who has to keep up with the times, I find the tunes to be a bit silly now and dated. I know most of the reviewers here are trumpet players, but it strikes me as odd that many of you find free wheeler to be the weakest track. Horn 2 M. Horn 3Related to Maynard Ferguson - M.F. Horn Two
