Notes
My Dedication: To the Light:Thank You Father God and all the ancestors before me for this guiding light that shines within me and around me. I "think of you" every second of this journey. I would like to dedicate my album to my Grand-ma Lorraine, my grandma Louisa Saunders, my Grand Aunt ReGusta McDaniel, William Simpson, Rebecca Johnson, Michael Benbrook and to all my folks who were Lost and Found in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Short intro
Lost & Found is the third studio album by American R&B and jazz singer-songwriter Ledisi, released August 28, 2007 on Verve Records. It is her major-label debut after releasing two independent albums with her producing partner and keyboardist Sundra Manning on their label LeSun Records. In comparison to Ledisi's previous works Soulsinger 1999, an album of original R&B and neo soul-oriented songs, and Feeling Orange but Sometimes Blue 2002, a set of jazz standards and originals, Lost & Found. Lost & Found is the 18th studio album by America. Released May 5, 2015 by America Records, it is their first album of original material since Here & Now in 2007. It includes music recorded between 2000 and 2011 but not released on previous albums. The song Driving, an upbeat single, received some airplay and was highly regarded by many. Gerry Beckley lead and harmony vocals, acoustic and electric guitar, bass, mandolin, piano, organ, keyboards, drums. Lost & Found is a rare gem from 2007, a complex vocal masterpiece that shimmers and tantalizes with smooth beats, impressive songs, great mixes, and one incredible vocalist Ledisi shreds this 18-track set and wrecks every single note with her jaw-dropping vocals. Tracks like In the Morning, shattering ballads of love and so much more, glisten like chocolate-covered strawberries with every listen. The soulful dazzle that makes stars out of singers is heard in every beat, every note, and every word. Listen free to Ledisi Lost & Found Been Here Intro, Joy and more. 16 tracks 59:29. Ledisi, whose name does not rhyme with release me it's LED-duh-see, nevertheless sounds like she's hit upon freedom and sweet salvation on Lost And Found, her third CD and the first on a major label Verve. And it's not just a matter of the third time being the charm: Though she's long been the object of love from critics-2002's jazz-themed Feeling Orange But Sometimes Blue earned props for its depth and nuance, and her contribution to 2004's Luther Vandross tribute, Forever, For Always, For Luther, also prompted breathlessness-her.
