Light of Worlds is the fifth studio album, and seventh album of new material by the American R&B group Kool & the Gang. Released in 1974, it was later remastered by Polygram and was a second success for the band, reaching number 16 in the R&B Charts and number 63 in the Pop Charts. It was a landmark in the funkjazz fusion genre of the 1970s. They went through several musical phases in their career. Light of Worlds, Kool & the Gangs fifth album, was released in September of 1974. Light of Worlds was yet another success for the band, falling a year after their previous album, Wild And Peaceful. The album reached the 16 spot on the Billboard R&B Charts, and 63 on the pop charts. Heralded as the groups most sophisticated and spiritual work, the album contains rock-inspired funk, jazz, and a small amount of analog synthesizing.
