Forever is the seventeenth studio album by the funk band Kool & the Gang, released in 1986. The album included two major hits on the US Hot 100 Chart: Victory US 10, R&B 2 and Stone Love US 10, R&B 4. Two further singles, Holiday and Special Way were also released from the album the former reached the top ten on the R&B Chart, the latter hit reached 6 on the Adult Contemporary chart. Listen album. Victory , Holiday , and Stone Love charted at 10 on the R&B Charts. Special Way also hit the 6 spot on the Adult Contemporary Charts. This album was also the last album by Kool & the Gang to feature James J. Taylor as a lead vocalist. Shortly after the album released, he left the group to pursue a solo career.
