Keeper of the Seven Keys: Part I is the second studio album by German power metal band Helloween, released in 1987. It marks the first appearance of vocalist Michael Kiske and is considered the album that created the genre of European-style power metal. It was an album dominated by guitarist Kai Hansen, due to an injury to co-guitarist Michael Weikath which prevented him from performing on much of the album. Future World was released as a single and a music video was made for Halloween but with 8 minutes omitted from the song. Completa tu colección de Helloween began looking for a new vocalist and stumbled upon a 19 year old Michael Kiske, who quickly jumped aboard. Soon enough, the band had their second full length album written. Originally, Keeper of the Seven Keys was meant to be a double album Much like Keeper of the Seven Keys: The Legacy, but the record label insisted that they be divided into two parts. In 1987, the band released the first half, Keeper of the Seven Keys Pt 1. Today, Keeper of the Seven Keys Pt 1 is regarded as not only one of power metal's first albums, but also one of its finest. Unsurprisingly, superb mel. Influenced by Iron Maiden and Judas Priest, Helloween specialized in blistering yet melodic heavy metal with a strong gothic orientation. On Keeper of the Seven Keys, Pt. 1 arguably Helloween's best album, lead vocalist Michael Kiske has no problem singing in a high, ear-splitting pitch - often demonstrating just how great an impact Rob Halford has had on him. In 1987 Helloween released their second album. The main difference to their first output Walls of Jericho lies in the change of the vocalist. Instead of Kai Hansen, who did vocals and guitars on the first album, Michael Kiske filled in this part of the band. The Album starts with a short Intro called Initiation. This intro sounds a little like the one on Walls of Jericho with fanfares and mystic touch. The intro leads to the track I' alive. Helloween is the longest track on this firt Keeper of the Seven Keys part. More than 10 minutes showing all the facettes the sound of Helloween has to deserve. Slow parts change to fast parts. Dark vocals change to high sreams and shouts
