Short intro
Joe's Garage Acts I, II & III - Frank Zappa. Лента с персональными рекомендациями и музыкальными новинками, радио, подборки на любой вкус, удобное управление своей. Joe's Garage is a three-part rock opera recorded by American musician Frank Zappa in September and November 1979. Originally released as two separate studio albums on Zappa Records, the project was later remastered and reissued as a triple album box set, Joe's Garage, Acts I, II & III, in 1987. The story is told by a character identified as the Central Scrutinizer narrating the story of Joe, an average adolescent male, from Canoga Park, Los Angeles, who forms a garage rock band, has unsatisfying. Joe's Garage. Frank Zappa. Mark Kozelek. Catholic Girls. Joe's Garage was originally released in 1979 in two separate parts Act I came first, followed by a two-record set containing Acts II & III. Acts II & III give off much the same feel, as Zappa relies heavily on what he termed xenochrony - previously recorded guitar solos transferred onto new, rhythmically different backing tracks to produce random musical coincidences. Frank Zappas satirical rock opera, Joes Garage, is ambitious and mad, brilliant, peculiar and incoherent - epithets that have also been applied to German expressionist Georg Buchners unfinished play, Woyzeck. This may seem like a ludicrously lofty cross-cultural reference to attach to an album most notorious for a song about Catholic girls aptitude for fellatio, but there you have it. As a music maker and recording artist, Zappa has always cultivated two warring images - the serious composer with a social satirists sense of irony versus the smutty crowd pleaser with a puerile sense of hum. Digital Booklet: Joe's Garage Acts I, II & III. Album Only. Disc 2. Not just 'cause Zappa organises it in three 'Acts', but because there's a musical story, and even a narrator the wonderfully creepy 'Central Scrutiniser'. The story of central protagonist Joe's rather checquered musical life draws to some degree on experiences Zappa himself had from simple young dumb garage rock fun, to getting busted by the Cops in a 'set-up' type sting, and any contemporary muso should be able to identify with a lot of the stuff satirised here. Father Riley & Buddy Jones. Ike Willis. JOES GARAGE is a stupid story about how the government is going to try to do away with music a prime cause of unwanted mass behavior. The Central Scrutinizer. UMRK Digital Remix. Joe's Garage Act I was originally released on 17979, Acts II & III were originally released on 191179. Digitally remastered for UMRK in 1989.
