Rain 5. also known as the Teal Album, is the twelfth studio album, and the fifth self-titled album by the American rock band Weezer. It was released digitally on January 24, 2019, through Crush Music and Atlantic Records, with a retail release on March 8. The album is composed of cover songs, making it the band's first covers album. It was announced and released on the same day as a surprise precursor to Weezer's thirteenth studio album, which was released on March 1, 2019. The album received mixed. The Teal Album and The Black Album mark the fifth and sixth entries in Weezers color palette of albums. Its also a certain playfulness and a lack of shame. From Whats with these homies dissing my girl through last years tongue-in-cheek covers of Africa and Rosanna by the Lo. Weezer's Teal album came out of nowhere, well possibly Africa. While I thoroughly enjoy MOST of the songs on this album, there were a few that I thought, meh, I might listen to once or twice and that's it Sweet Dreams, No Scrubs. But, with that said, it is well worth it to purchase this piece of nostalgia with a Weezer twist
