Across the Atlantic, Elton Johns third album, Tumbleweed Connection, was heavily inspired by the Band and the western films of John Ford. Over the years, he would frequently punctuate his records with country touches, such as the pedal steel guitar on Tiny Dancer or the barrelhouse piano of Honky Cat.
