Reissue on "fire engine red" vinyl in 1997 prior to the U.S. tour. Only very slightly colour difference of both editions - are very hard to distinguish. Only if you have both originals to compare.

The phrases "There is a north wind - a wolf wind..." and "...a west wind and a scopion wind" were scratched into the vinyl [Note: the word scorpion was mistakingly written "scopion" on this message].

Death in June are a neofolk group led by English folk musician Douglas Pearce, better known as Douglas P. The band was originally formed in Britain in 1981 as a trio, but after the other members left in 1984 and 1985 to work on other projects, the group became the work of Douglas P. and various collaborators. Douglas P. now lives in Australia. Over the band's three decades of existence, they have made numerous shifts in style and presentation, resulting in an overall shift from initial post-punk and. Death In June Presents: KAPO is the perfection of that sound, and alongside the Scorpion Wind LP with Boyd Rice recorded around the same time showcases some of the finest arrangements Death In June would offer in their entire career. This is pure atmospheric folk music, dabbling in the neo-classical and from start to finish is sonically flawless.
