Punishment for Decadence is the second album by the Swiss thrash metal group Coroner, released on 1 August 1988. It bears many similarities to the previous album, except the band's performance is more precise and features increased use of slightly more melodic guitar work, as well as a slightly different lyrical style. How is the sound quality on these Century Media reissues All the Century Media Vinyl reissues I have sound really good. Coroner - Punishment for Decadence review: A band start climbing their way into ambitious territories. No More Color, which succeeded this, was superb just because the tension was present as well, minus the guitar wankery. In the albums that followed, Coroner focused on playing less notes on the guitar, while becoming quirkier and quirkier. The above is just my personal opinion. I prefer No More Color, and Mental Vortex over Punishment, but they aren't available yet on CD. Punishment is still very good, and it's great to see this out again. This is the first album I have bought of Coroner after having for a long time been meaning to check them out. I have always been into the thrash metal scene of the 1980's, listening to bands such as Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Testament, but I have to say that the music on this album is far more satisfying, unique, rhythmically technical, and overall far more interesting than those bands. Mit Punishment for Decadence bewiesen die 3 Schweizer, dass es keinesfalls ein Zufallswerk war. Songs in album Coroner - Punishment For Decadence 1988. Coroner - Intro. Coroner - Absorbed.
