Due to some problems with their management, Zita Swoon's previous album 'Big City' was not released in France. When they found a new label/distributor (Discograph) they decided to release the album in France, including some new recordings and extras, and calling it 'Big Blueville'. They also released the album in Benelux, with an edition of just 5000 copies.

They entered the music scene of Antwerp in 1993, still under the name A Beatband with the EP Jintro Travels The Word In A Skirt. The group is typical of the music scene in Antwerp, with members playing in numerous other groups.
