Curse is the album that just about all fans of Wodensthrone wanted them to release - a confident, marked improvement from Loss that truly shows the band getting somewhere, improving in absolutely every aspect. There's no reason that any fans of Loss wouldn't be ecstatic with this offering, and where it re-invents just about nothing, Curse stands testament to the fact that a re-invention isn't always the best move. In 2006 and 2008, the band released two split albums, WodensthroneNiroth with Niroth and Over the Binding of the Waves with Folkvang respectively. in 2012 the label released Wodensthrone's follow-up album, Curse. Wodensthrone was formed in Winterfylleð of 2005, in the Sundered Lands of North Eastern England, by founding members Brunwulf, Wildeþrýð, Gerádwine, and Hréowsian. In these formative days, the clans sound was raw and primitive, but still hinted at a sense of sorrow, with lyrics focusing on the darker aspects of Englands history.
