Who's Who is a studio album by American jazz guitarist John Scofield. It features two different bands, one acoustic and one electric. The acoustic group, featuring Scofield's then-employer Dave Liebman on saxophones, Eddie Gómez on bass, and Billy Hart on drums, recorded The Beatles and How the West Was Won. The electric group, featuring future Kenny Kirkland on keyboards, Anthony Jackson on electric bass, Steve Jordan on drums, and Sammy Figueroa on percussion, recorded the balance of the album. Who's Who or Who is Who is the title of a number of reference publications, generally containing concise biographical information on the prominent people of a country. The title has been adopted as an expression meaning a group of notable persons. The oldest and best-known is the annual publication Who's Who, a reference work on contemporary prominent people in Britain published annually since 1849. Who's Cheatin' Who is a country music song written by Jerry Hayes and initially recorded by Charly McClain. It was the title track of her 1980 album for Epic Records, released in November 1980 as a single with Love Scenes on the B-side, and in early 1981, was her first Number One hit on the Billboard country charts. 17 years later, Alan Jackson had chart success with the song as well, with his cover version reaching Top Five on the country charts. In January of 2020 the song was covered again and. Who's Who. Who's Who - Who's Who 1979. To favorites 0 Download album. Listen album. Songs in album Who's Who - Who's Who 1979. The Who have only sparingly released new music since the death of drummer Keith Moon in 1978 - Who is only their fourth album since then - but it seems like biding their time has worked in their favor. Despite songs steeped in the bands once-bragged-about Maximum R&B witness Detour, which could fit on My Generation or Sell Out, and references the bands I Cant Explain , arena-rock grandeur Hero Ground Zero , and plenty of teenage-wasteland synths Street Song, I Dont Wanna Get Wise , they now have some. It's not billed that way but given the Who's productivity since their initial split in 1982, it's difficult not to view 2019's Who as the band's final album. It's only their second album in 37 years, and if it takes them another 13 years to complete a third - that's the length of time separating Who from 2006's Endless Wire - both Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey will be well into their eighties, a seemingly unlikely age for new work by rockers. On the Who's first album in 13 years, Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend sound invigorated, even in songs that address 70-something concerns. Who is actually a fairly fun album about not particularly light subject matter - like whether the soul survives the body, or, more urgently, whether love and integrity survive feeling washed up. If a Dylan or Leonard Cohen approaches these topics, the mood is somber, but the Who have attempted something trickier, with a set of mostly hard-rocking songs that make them sound not a day over 30, addressing lyrical concerns that arent a day under 60.
