Short intro

James Marshall Jimi Hendrix born Johnny Allen Hendrix November 27, 1942 September 18, 1970 was an American rock guitarist, singer, and songwriter. Although his mainstream career lasted only four years, he is widely regarded as one of the most influential guitarists in history and one of the most celebrated musicians of the 20th century. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame describes him as the greatest instrumentalist in the history of rock music. Who Knows is a song by Jimi Hendrix, originally from his 1970 live album Band of Gypsys. The song was written by Hendrix and recorded at the Fillmore East Auditorium on January 1st, 1970, with bassist Billy Cox and drummer and backing vocalist Buddy Miles. 1970: Band of Gypsys. 1999: Live at the Fillmore East. Jimi Hendrix - guitar Billy Heart is one of several names given to albums of a 1968 jam session with Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, and others. The albums were fashioned from an informal two-track tape recording made by Hendrix which was subsequently stolen from his apartment. The jam took place at The Scene, a nightclub club in New York City, and various dates and participants have been suggested. Although it presents a unique setting, critics and biographers have generally found fault with the sound quality and Morrison. this was the third who/hendrix compilation released in 1970 in nz, as with the first two volumes you get a host of 60s tracks on one side by the who and a host of 60s hendrix tracks on the other side, as with the first 2 volumes i felt they could have printed nicer sleeves for these way back then but regardless these are essential compilations for any who or hendrix collector....
