McMurry was born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. According to family, he could sing before he could walk. He started playing guitar at the age of 12 and was playing in bands when he was 14. His aunt was Lillian McMurry, the founder of Trumpet Records. She was a mentor to McMurray and gave advice as he started in the music industry. View all Webb Wilder albums. 10 tracks. One Warning though. When listening in your car to Donny The Twangler Roberts rip through the leads, you may have difficulty driving less than 80 mph. I first became acquainted with Webb's music when he visited Australia in the late 1980's to promote Hybrid Vigor. He played the track 'Human Cannonball' on the tv show 'Hey Hey, it's Saturday'. The infectious tune unfortunately wasn't the hit it deserved to be, and Webb disappeared from our shores and to my knowledge - didn't come back. Released: Aug 1989
