Was Not Was is the debut album by art-funk ensemble Was Not Was it was released in 1981. The album was re-released with additional material in 2004 under the name Out Come the Freaks. Was Not Was is an American pop rock group founded in 1979 in Detroit, Michigan by David Weiss and Don Fagenson, who adopted the stage names David Was and Don Was.
