Tobbe Janson Groovy krautrock from Sweden with Mattias Olsson from Änglagård Dragan Cekic. Dragan Cekic One more very good album from Sweden. Strawberry Walrus. The Walrus Was. Исполнитель: Strawberry Walrus. 2016 rock. Walrus biography In the late sixties, bassist Steve HAWTHORN came up with an idea to fuse rock and jazz. By 1969, he'd formed WALRUS, an eight-piece monster the band's roster in the tradition of large orchestral groups would fluctuate many times throughout Walrus's short career and the band toured heavily around the London area. In June of the same year, WALRUS was picked up by Decca Records, handed some money, and told to produce an album. Another album was never realized and by 1972, despite having attained a large and faithful live following, the band split up. The walrus Odobenus rosmarus is a large flippered marine mammal with a discontinuous distribution about the North Pole in the Arctic Ocean and subarctic seas of the Northern Hemisphere. The walrus is the only living species in the family Odobenidae and genus Odobenus. This species is subdivided into two subspecies: the Atlantic walrus O. rosmarus, which lives in the Atlantic Ocean, and the Pacific walrus O. divergens, which lives in the Pacific Ocean. This is the brand new psychedelic musical whirlwind created by Rosco Levee and Mike Ross. Rock n Roll indeed THE band to watch in. When you see Walrus all genres and expectations are redundant - we got Southern rock, blues, psychedelia, funk, soul - you name it and it was there - all rolled into one enormous ball of goodness. The guitar interplay of Rosco Levee and Mike Ross really is something to be seen and heard. That might make you think that this was a night where two guitar slingers were just demonstrating their chops but you couple that with their being such strong vocalists and the songs become the focus. Only album by British Jazz-Rock octet Walrus, which was one of the first full-blown British Jazz-Rock ensembles modeled after the American counterparts like Blood, Sweat & Tears and Chicago. Although not as sophisticated as If, the other British ensemble following the same path, Walrus was nevertheless quite excellent as well and it is a great pity they didn't manage to record more albumsRelated to Walrus - Walrus
