Short intro

Rather unfair, though witty. For many people though, Vivaldi is the composer of The Four Seasons the first four of the twelve concertos Op. 8, and maybe Bosgraaf & Cordevento. Classical , 2009. Concerto in C Major, RV 444, for Sopranino Recorder, Two Violins, Viola, Basso Continuo. Concerto in C Major, RV 444, for Sopranino Recorder, Two Violins, Viola, Basso Continuo: I. Allegro non molto. By Antonio Vivaldi. Concerto in C Major, RV 444, for Sopranino Recorder, Two Violins, Viola, Basso Continuo: II. Concerto in C Major, RV 444, for Sopranino Recorder, Two Violins, Viola, Basso Continuo: III. Allegro molto. Concerto in G Minor, RV. Erik Bosgraaf born May 9, 1980 is a Dutch recorder player and musicologist. Bosgraaf was born in Drachten, Netherlands. He received his Master of Arts in musicology from Utrecht University in 2006. In 2007 Bosgraaf, under the supervision of musicologist Thiemo Wind, released a 3-CD-box with compositions of the Dutch composer Jacob van Eyck 15891657, a collection which attained unexpected commercial success and sold more than 25,000 copies. In the 201112 season he was nominated by Concertgebouw. Listen to music from Vivaldi Erik Bosgraaf, Cordevento. Find the latest tracks, albums, and images from Vivaldi Erik Bosgraaf, Cordevento. Vivaldis concertos are remarkable not only for the wealth of invention and the outstanding quality of the music, but also for the amazing range of instruments he wrote for. Erik Bosgraaf's first BBT-supported CD for Brilliant Classics is devoted to concertos for sopranino and alto recorders. Two of his greatest concertos Tempesta di mare Storm at Sea and La notte Night feature on the programme. Erik Bosgraaf recorder Ensemble Cordevento. Supported by Borletti-Buitoni Trust. Vivaldi's recorder concertos form an attractive if somewhat marginalised part of his output and they are presented here with real zest and imagination. What's more, they are at least played on the right instruments. The concertos for the more common alto recorder introduce a mellower timbre. Although not such a bravura piece, the Concerto in c, RV443, is probably the most distinguished and challenging of them all, while the two programmatic concertos, La notte and Tempesta di mare, both derived from earlier chamber concertos, offer something more akin to The Four Seasons in their suggestion of a narrative
