None of this work is my own, Revolver was an American hard rock supergroup consisting of Guns N' Roses members Slash lead guitar, Duff McKagan bass, backing vocals and Matt Sorum drums, backing vocals, alongside Dave Kushner rhythm guitar formerly of punk band Wasted Youth, and Scott Weiland formerly of Stone Temple Pilots. Weiland left the band to rejoin Stone Temple Pilots in 2008. Slither is the second single by Velvet Revolver from their debut album Contraband. The single was released in 2004. The song reached 1 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks chart, and stayed there for 9 weeks. It also became their sole 1 hit on the Modern Rock Tracks chart, due to its somewhat heavier sound than some of their other material.
