This album is supposed to be music inspired by the Powerpuff Girls cartoon, yet about half the songs have nothing to do with the Girls. Instead we are treated to previously released songs that have nothing to do with the PpGs, such as the Vitamin C song and the Mis-Teeq song. Those songs are the kind of stuff 10 to 14 year-old girls listen, and only 10 to 14 year-old girls listen to. Their lyrics have nothing to do with the PpGs or the show. Unlike the other Powerpuff Girls-related albums, which found creative, quirky music that both young and old fans of the show could appreciate, The Powerpuff Girls: Power Pop is chock-full of vapid teen pop that could be found on any Disney or Nickolodeon soundtrack.
