Short intro
Various Artists - Independents Day : ID 08. This is not just an album. It's a slice of a global revolution. Independents Day 08 is all about the artists making music for the love, not the money. There are some big names on the disc, but they're taking part to support and recommend others. Not many CD inlays feature a full paragraph of impassioned pleas not to copy the CD and a sensible explanation with. Independents Day is the sixth studio album by American hip hop duo Twiztid. Released on July 3, 2007, it features guest appearances from rappers signed to independent record labels, such as The Dayton Family, Tha Dogg Pound, Hed PE frontman Jared Gomes, Tech N9ne and Krizz Kaliko. It also notably features appearances by DJ Quik and D12 members Proof and Bizarre. One of the group's members, Eminem, had feuded with Psychopathic Records founders Insane Clown Posse. The album peaked at 4 on Billboard's. A sterling affirmation of the creative vitality of independent music, Independents Day 08 is a two-stage expression of how the baton of inspiration gets passed from one era to another. On the first disc, currently hot bands offer their interpretations of favourite tracks by their indie influences, while the second disc presents new acts recommended by those same bands, including such tantalising prospects as Shrag, Oceansize and Electricity In Our Homes. 29 tracks 109:02. 14 album search results for independents day id08.
