Hard to Believe: A Kiss Covers Compilation is a Kiss tribute album with all of the tracks performed by at the time underground, independent, punk bands of the late 1980s. The two bands featured on this album that would continue on to greater success are Nirvana and Melvins, though Doug Martsch of Treepeople later founded Built To Spill. This is one of two released Nirvana recordings with Jason Everman on guitar. Songs that appear on other versions of the album include. Mostly consisting of Seattle area bands, this Kiss covers album is probably most famous for featuring the only Nirvana recording with Jason Everman on guitar. But as interesting as this fact is, there are far better songs to hear on this hit-or-miss compilation. I have the version with the four rockers in familiar makeup on the cover that also contains more tracks 15 total than some other pressings. The big claim to fame for this CD is a band called Nirvana doing Do You Love Me from Kiss' 1976 Destroyer album. This was the main reason I wanted to get this CD. I'm a major Kiss fan, and have been since the early 70s, and I also like Nirvana a lot. The Nirvana song on here is not recognizable as the legendary group that reco.
