Short intro

Heaven and Hell is a studio album by Greek electronic composer Vangelis, released in December 1975 on RCA Records. It is the first album recorded at his Nemo Studios in London that he used until 1987. It is a concept album based on duality. The album marks Vangelis' departure from the progressive rock sound on his previous album Earth 1973, with adoption of a more classical synthesized sound, as well his UK chart debut. The constant struggle between good and evil in the vision of Evángelos Odysséas Papathanassíou or Vangelis musician, composer and Greek author. Here in - Heaven And Hell 1975. For the first time using just his first name, Heaven and Hell is Vangelis at his very best, with unprecedented grandeur, a mix of electronic instruments and percussion, accompanied by the voices of the English Chamber Choir and the angelic voices of Jon Anderson and Vana Veroutis. A true Vangelis classic Tracklist The tracklist of Heaven and Hell is quite a mess. First of all the CD only refers to both sides of the original LP as part 1 and part 2 where. Vangelis started making solo albums at the turn of the 1970s, but on 10 January 1976, his climb towards worldwide recognition took a significant upswing, as he made his UK chart debut. The record in question was his sixth album release, Heaven and Hell, which placed his name on the British bestsellers for the first time. The album arrived at No. 60, reaching its No. 31 peak two weeks later, and was notable for embracing classical themes rather than the progressive rock leanings of the Greek instrumentalists work to that point. Vangelis' first album made at Nemo Studios in London on the RCA Label. A symphonic and choral synthesiser work, it's bombastic and yet sublimely beautiful in many places. An except from Side 1 ended up as the theme song for the TV series Cosmos which made Vangelis almost a household name and propelled sales of the the album. Répondre Me notifier Helpful. Cardia1
