Andrew Hughes I loved the hooks at first, then I noticed Vern's thoughtful bass parts, then I fell in love with Sara's drumming, and the rest is history. Love Unwound. Favorite track: Envelope. When I first bought this album, I was expecting either the punk rock fury of previous Unwound release, Fake Train, or the depressing, experimental creation that is Leaves Turn Inside You. What I got was something unexpected. It wasn't a mixture of the two albums I'm looking at you Repetition, nor was it something completely different. It had a new sound, but with some traces of the past album, and the foreshadowing of some records to come.
