Short intro

Source: FLAC Entirely Different Matters 0:00 What Was Wound 2:05 Envelope 4:34 Hexenzsene 7:54 Abstraktions 12:29 All Souls Day 19:40 Usual Dosage 22: Plastic Ideas is the third studio album by the American post-hardcore band Unwound, released on March 21, 1994 by Kill Rock Stars. The album was recorded in between from November 26-28 and December 13, 1993 at Avast Studios in Seattle, Washington. As pointed out in The Vinyl Factory's review for the album, New Plastic Ideas is a somewhat a step away from the feedback-ridden sound of its predecessor Fake Train and focuses more on melody and odd time signatures, although the band has stated that. Andrew Hughes I loved the hooks at first, then I noticed Vern's thoughtful bass parts, then I fell in love with Sara's drumming, and the rest is history. Love Unwound. Favorite track: Envelope. When I first bought this album, I was expecting either the punk rock fury of previous Unwound release, Fake Train, or the depressing, experimental creation that is Leaves Turn Inside You. What I got was something unexpected. It wasn't a mixture of the two albums I'm looking at you Repetition, nor was it something completely different. It had a new sound, but with some traces of the past album, and the foreshadowing of some records to come. At 39:43, New Plastic Ideas isnt the longest listen, but remember, these guys are punk influenced. Unwound Format: Audio CD. Please retry. New from. Used from. MP3 Music, March 1, 1994. A little noisy at times as is the case with most Numero releases, but the mastering and overall sound quality is top notch. One of the best early Unwound records brought back to life!

Its pretty great. It's kind of melancholy, well composed songs, absolutely no filler on this album, its one of their best (on par with fake train, better than repetition and the future of what). you can find it on youtube if you look for it.

My copy has no quality control issues so it sounds good on that front. I don't have an original or any other source to compare the sound of the music too but it sounds decent to me.
