Tiemko seem to go from strength to strength with each further release. From their roots in typically French jazz-prog-fusion, they've fleshed-out what was a rather easy listening music (well, by my standards anyway) and invoked fiery dynamics, a wide palette of sounds, and complex guitaristics in the manner of Steve Hackett. However, all this doesn't mean PARADE is a top of the league classic - they've still got a little way to go for that yet - but it's certainly excellent, ranking alongside the likes of Finch, Asia Minor, Rousseau, et al. There's lots of surprises here: some folky touches, it also features a lot more electronic keyboards, a wider use of contrasts and dynamics, overall a good deal more invention. I don't think I'll give anything else away, as if you loved their previous album OCEAN this may delight you even more!
