Compiles both the band's first two albums "Thin Lizzy" and "Shades Of A Blue Orphanage" (making minor alternations to the track order), plus the "New Day" EP, the "Randolph's Tango"/"Broken Dreams" single, "Black Boys On The Corner" (B Side to Whisky In The Jar) and "Sitamoia".
This is largely a different compilation to the UK Remembering, and unlike that, doesn't include anything from "Vagabonds Of The Western World", nor does it include "Whisky In The Jar".

Short intro
Remembering Part 1 is a compilation album by rock group Thin Lizzy, one of the first compilations of the band's early years with Eric Bell, released by their record company at that time, Decca Records, in an apparent attempt to cash in on the chart success Lizzy had recently begun enjoying with Vertigo. It includes Sitamoia and Little Darling, both featuring Gary Moore during his first brief stint with the group, the first of which was previously unreleased. The time frame of the album stretches. Gary Moore, who played guitar for Thin Lizzy during three separate stints and also had a successful career as solo artist, died early Sunday at the Kempinski Hotel in Estepona, Spain. The cause of death has yet to be determined. I am in total shock, said Lizzy drummer Brian Downey in a statement. I have known Gary since 1967 when he was in Platform Three and hes been an amazing friend ever since. It was a pleasure to play with Gary again in 2006 after his days with Lizzy. He will always be in my thoughts and prayers and I just cant believe he is gone. He was later brought into Thin Lizzy by Lynott to replace the departing Eric Bell, another guitarist from Northern Ireland. Lynott died in 1986 but a new line-up of Thin Lizzy continues to tour. Bell told the BBC on Sunday he was still in shock at Moore's death in the Costa del Sol. I still can't believe it, he said. He was so robust, he wasn't a rock casualty, he was a healthy guy. The lead guitarist received critical acclaim for his work on the 1974 Thin Lizzy album, Nightlife, but would never be constrained by the music group format. A year earlier, he had released his first solo album Grinding Stone and his virtuoso playing was to make him a recognised artist in his own rightRelated to Thin Lizzy Featuring Eric Bell And Gary Moore - Remembering
