Cornetist Warren Vache is well showcased in an intimate trio with pianist John Bunch and bassist Phil Flanigan on this lyrical date. Although essentially a swingmainstream stylist, Vache's repertoire on the set ranges from Out Of Nowhere and We'll Be Together Again to Bud Powell's Tempus Fugit which he had never heard before and an unusual version of Thelonious Monk's Rhythm-A-Ning.
