The Used is the eponymous debut studio album by the American rock band of the same name. The album has been certified platinum by the RIAA. Jeph Howard and Branden Steineckert played in a local act that performed shows with another band, which featured Bert McCracken. The former band soon broke up Howard, Steineckert and Quinn Allman formed a new band, Dumb Luck in October 1999. Shortly afterwards, the group split up. The Used formed in January 2001 with Allman on guitar, Howard on bass and. The Used is an American rock band from Orem, Utah that formed in January 2001. The group consists of vocalist Bert McCracken, bassist Jeph Howard, drummer Dan Whitesides, and guitarist Joey Bradford. The group signed to Reprise Records and rose to fame in June 2002 after releasing their self-titled debut album.
