Short intro

The Rolling Stones is the debut studio album by the English rock band the Rolling Stones, released by Decca Records in the UK on 16 April 1964. Recorded at Regent Sound Studios in London over the course of five days in January and February 1964, The Rolling Stones was produced by then-managers Andrew Loog Oldham. Why did the Stones call this album Some Girls Because we couldnt remember their fucking names, as Richards put it at the time. The title song remains one of the Stones funniest moments, as Jagger sings about the hard work of womanizing, pursued by groupies who take his money and take his clothes. Jagger protested that the song was intended as a joke. As he told Rolling Stone in 1978, Most of the girls I played the song to like Some Girls. They think its funny black girlfriends of mine just laughed. I really like girls an awful lot, and I dont think Id say anything really nasty about any of them. NOTE about how to discern early UK pressings: An important information in order to identify the early UK pressing for the first Rolling Stones album is the Tax Code KT. It MUST be present both on the label and in the matrixrunout, otherwise it is a later pressing, as explained here below: Most of the Decca records has also a tax code around 12 a clock on. To celebrate the Rolling stones' 55th anniversary we take on the daunting task of ranking their entire discography. Here are the best Rolling Stones albums from Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts, and Ronnie Wood. Like a lot of 20th-century bands still releasing music in the early part of the 2000s, The Rolling Stones have a problem of inverse longevity: The longer they exist, the less essential their new output is. That's because Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts, Ronnie Wood, and the others who passed through did their best work in the first two decades after debuting on American stages on June 5, 1964. The Rolling Stones are an English rock group that formed in London in 1962. First popular in Europe, they quickly became successful in North America during the British Invasion of the mid-60s. Since then, their worldwide sales are estimated at more than 200 million albums. In 1989, they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and in 2004, they ranked number 4 in Rolling Stone magazine's 100 Greatest Artists of All Time. In 2008, Billboard magazine ranked the Rolling Stones at number ten on The Billboard Hot 100 Top All-Time Artists, and as the read more. As the indestructible rocknrollers begin their No Filter tour, we rank each of their 23 albums, from their 1964 eponymous debut to 2o16s Blue & Swift became the first ever female in the history of the Hot 100 to succeed herself at 1, when Blank Space dethroned the songstress' previous single, Shake It Off from the top spot. Just Give Me A ReasonPink. Pink wrote Just Give Me A Reason about how one partner can feel jilted over something trivial, like how her boyfriend passes her the butter. Great songwriters don't necessarily have hit songs, says Chris. He's written a bunch, but his fans are more interested in the intricate jams. Cain talks about the divine inspirations for Don't Stop Believin' and Faithfully. Movie Stars In Music VideosSong Writing
