Predating many English punk records by nearly a year, TV Tube Heart is a tuneful mess of crash-and-bash full-throttle punk rock. Better than a lot of the more hyped bands of the time like The Cortinas, The Radiators pull out all the stops and came up with a winner first time out. The Radiators From Space was the first punk rock band from Ireland, influencing many of those who followed including the Undertones and the Boomtown Rats, and are often cited by U2 as an inspiration. They were also one of the earliest of the class of '77 punk rock bands. This, their first album, is full-on protest punk, with angry guitars and biting lyrics. Of the 33 only the album plus three non-album single sides have been available on CD before. The two alternate versions have only ever been available on an Irish cassette compilation.
