Today we revisit the Prodigys testosterone-fuelled U. invasion with 1997s The Fat Of the Land. Before the turn of the millennium, a multiracial trio of British ravers topped the American charts with Smack My Bitch Up, a smash that, depending on your point of view, was either revolting or revolutionary. It was one part scatological genius Kool Keith of the legendary Ultramagnetic MCs one part beloved SP-1200 sampler one part Rage Against the Machine. 27 May 1997. The Prodigy : The Fat of the Land,альбом, рецезия, трек-лист, mp3, тексты песен. Half of the album does sound quite similar to Firestarter, especially when Flint is singing. Granted, Liam Howlett is an inventive producer, and he can make empty songs like Smack My Bitch Up and Serial Thrilla kick with a visceral power, but he is at his best on the funky hip-hop of Diesel Power which is driven by an excellent Kool Keith rap and Funky Shit, as well as the mind-bending neo-psychedelia of Narayan featuring. What else can you say about an album like Fat of the Land It's astonishing. This album reminds me of why The Prodigy were once the kings of Dance Music. Each track is brilliantly constructed around the genres mentioned above, yet sounds totally unique and like no other track in that genre. However, I still prefer Liam's productions in their Oldskool Rave roots. Album 1997 10 Songs. The Prodigy. Electronic 1997
