Red Sails in the Sunset is the fifth studio album by Australian group Midnight Oil which was released in October 1984 under the Columbia Records label. It was recorded and produced in Tokyo, Japan and is significant for becoming their first No. 1 album in Australia it also entered the United States Billboard 200. The cover image, by Japanese artist Tsunehisa Kimura, depicts Sydney Harbour after a hypothetical nuclear strike. Some of its tracks were performed live in January 1985 at a Sydney Harbour. Rednecks is a song by Randy Newman, the lead-off track on his 1974 album Good Old Boys. Rednecks is sung from the perspective of a Southern redneck. In it, he expresses his dismay at the way that the North looks down upon The South. In particular, the narrator describes his ire at watching a smart-ass, New York Jew mock Lester Maddox on a television program. This is an allusion to Maddox's 1970 appearance on The Dick Cavett Show whose eponymous host is actually a gentile from Nebraska. The Police is a self-titled compilation album released by The Police on June 5, 2007, to accompany their reunion tour. It contains 28 tracks over two discs, a mixture of hit singles and fan favourites. All the singles are included, with the exception of Secret Journey and 'Don't Stand So Close to Me '86 however, the original version of the song is included. Black Sails in the Sunset is the fourth studio album by American rock band AFI. It was released on May 18, 1999 through Nitro Records. With the addition of guitarist Jade Puget as a permanent member, it is the first AFI album to feature the current line-up of the band. The album has been described as a hardcore punk album as well as a horror punk album. Black Sails in the Sunset was received well by critics.
