Short intro
As the title foretells, this is a live album. It was made during a couple of shows the group did in Canada. The songs are fan favorites though, like There Goes My Heart, Tonight the Bottle Let Me Down, and I Don't Care if You Love Me Anymore. It's Live. Their 1998 album Trampoline produced a number 4 UK hit in Dance the Night Away remaining on. The band recorded a new album The Mavericks, but split up again shortly after the 2004 tour Song Lyrics for The Mavericks's It's Now, It's Live album. As musicians, you are always listening to other songs and you find inspiration and you talk about, Oh man, one day were going to record this. But other things get in the way. You hear every reason in the world as to why not do a covers record, but now were in charge, so if we. Its a reputation based on their irrepressible mix of country, Tex-Mex, rockabilly and Latino sounds plus a riotously entertaining, world-renowned live show. A Mavericks gig is a guaranteed party night encompassing everything from the essential Dance The Night Away to the infectious Tejano-ska hybrid of Back In Your Arms Again and, on occasion, even wild cards like a Mavericks take on The Beatles Back In The USSR. The Mavericks are true American originals, heirs to the great songwriting traditions of Cuba and Miami, of Nashville and San Antonio and Memphis. Now, on their 30th anniversa.
