Short intro

10,000 Back Doors. Listen free to The Malarkies 10,000 Backdoors Laughter, Smokejumpers and more. 14 tracks 46:33. Original version available on their album 10,000 Back Doors. Cover version recorded for HA HA HA on Theme Doors is the debut album by the American rock band the Doors. Recorded in 1966 at Sunset Sound Recorders, Hollywood, California, it was produced by Paul A. Rothchild and released on January 4, 1967. The album features their breakthrough single Light My Fire and the lengthy song The End with its Oedipal spoken word section. The Doors was central to the progression of psychedelic rock, and has been critically acclaimed. In 2012 it was ranked No. 42 in Rolling Stone magazine's 500 Greatest Albums. Matt Sutton and Ruth Keating, who backed K. on her last record, cut loose on their own with this rivetingly intense, home-produced record. Sounding at times like Will Oldham backed by Jonathan Fire eater percussion, the duo carves out a niche that is direct and soulful and warmly intelligent. This is The Malarkies' fourth album, the first without a bass player. Sutton fills the gap with an unusual instrument, a baritone guitar, whose range falls somewhere between traditional guitar and bass. It spits and hisses on rock-oriented songs like Night Dogs and Kids and lends firelit warmth to thoughtful ones like Unload. American Nights - In Concert - The Doors. When Morrison found out, he threatened to smash a Buick during every Doors concert. After the bands 1968 European tour concluded in Sweden on September 20th, Morrison decided to stay in London with girlfriend Pamela Courson and work on his poetry under the encouraging guidance of writer Michael McClure. This proved problematic when representatives from Buick contacted the Doors, offering them 75,000 to license Light My Fire for an ad campaign featuring the memorable slogan, Come on Buick, light my fire . Alice and Dorothy and the Darlings, all dragged back to the mundane world and tucked into bed by their handlers. This certainly resonated with my own childhood feelings when enraptured by such stories.
