The Glory Days of Aussie Pub Rock Vol. Various Artists. Injun Joe is a thieving, dishonest, wicked person who achieves most of his evil goals because he is also clever and resourceful. He kills young doctor Robinson without qualms and for no discernible reason except for pure evil pleasure. He frames old Muff Potter, and he is shrewd enough to make the townspeople believe his story is true. Injun Joe is a static character, that is, he is the same at the end as he is in the beginning. He does not change through the course of the events in which he is involved. He is the essence of evil when we first see him murdering Dr. Robinson and framing Muff Potter for the crime, and he remains the essence of evil throughout. In 1876, Twain published one of his most popular works of fiction-The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. The villain of the novel, Injun Joe, is unequivocally evil-there is little to stimulate the reader to sympathize with Joe's plight or understand his actions. Injun Joe's evil Indian nature is made more ominous by the culture of violence that Twain attributes to Native Americans. Joe is not satisfied to merely rob or humiliate the Widow Douglas instead, he plans on torturing her in ways that he imagines are most excruciating for women. He says to , When you get revenge on a woman you don't kill her-bosh you go for her looks. Injun Joe is a track by The Johnnys from the album Highlights Of A Dangerous Life released in 1986.
