The Human League in the Jam & Lewis environment sounded exactly like jumping at the very last minute assisting on a number of Control-era leftovers. At best, Crash remains as blurred as the album's sleeve - slick production but otherwise mediocre, deceptively catchy and ultra-hyped with Phil Oakey's cool voice being the only trace of what's left of The Human League up to that point. Maybe Crash would have made more sense if actually released as his solo album following on from his collaboration LP with Giorgio Moroder.
