The bass and vocals both are more complex than in the past. It is a different flavor from their last two LPs, but still very good Khruangbin. Totally agreed. I wish more of the album was like Time. That single really felt like a turning point for the band and Im disappointed the rest of the album isnt as good or different. A lot of people seem to describe Khruangbin in a jam band kind of way. I think the bands electro-funk-jazz-dub thing is scratching an itch that a lot of people didnt know they had. I dont think the songs are revolutionary and I dont think this album is particularly coherent as a progression of curated tracks.
