Short intro

III - The Grassy Knoll. Лента с персональными рекомендациями и музыкальными новинками, радио, подборки на любой вкус, удобное управление своей коллекцией. The Grassy Knoll - The Grassy Knoll. The Grassy Knoll is an American music group first active in the 1990s and early 2000s, led by composermulti-instrumentalist Bob Green. Their music was largely instrumental, and drew upon a variety of influences but was rooted in jazz fusion and hip hop rhythms. Their first self-titled album was released by Canada's Nettwerk Records in 1994, and reissued the next year by Polygram. Critical reception was warm: James Chrispell described the album as comprising a trumpet call right out of Miles Davis. The Grassy Knoll. A Beaten Dog Beneath the Hail, 05:06. The album reached number 9 in the New Zealand Album charts and went gold. The Grassy Knoll returns with a new album brimming with a sense of fresh possibilities: Electric Verdeland, Vol. In the late 1990s, The Grassy Knoll aka Nolan Green was on the leading edge of a new kind of music, a darkly artful mix of the electric and the organic, of digital sampling and analog virtuosity. Salon dubbed The Grassy Knolls music groundbreaking and futuristic. Listen free to The Grassy Knoll III A Beaten Dog Beneath the Hail, Down in the Happy Zone and more. 13 tracks 63:14. I know more than a few friends who got burned on the acid jazz scene in the past few years who suddenly realized that what was being passed off as acid jazz was in fact acid spazz. The amazing thing about this recent resurgence of interest in jazz, or new music in general, is how many people have yet to hear of Bob Green . the Grassy Knoll. III is the best and most definitive Grassy Knoll to date. When compared to III, the first two releases have an air of sentiment. the grassy knoll. Bands like the grassy knoll manage to make music that's compelling, communal, fun and beautiful. Bob Green is a genius! I first heard his music on the site of electronic and independent music called Epitonic. The sound and feeling of his music immediately sucked me inside and I became an addict. I hunted down all of his music I could. There is some brilliant live material on his website in good quality mp3. They did that gig a few days after 9.11. It's stunning! The URL is www.sixtyonesixtyeight.com you can find informations about 2 other great artists as well, Jettatura and Absorption. They are not less impressive! Grassy Knoll released a kind of CD album accompanied with a graphic design in the Emigre magazin, it's called "Happily Ever After". Unsurprisingly it is a brilliant work : "...their soundscapes will cause images to flow from your mind effortlessly."
