Finally unsealed my copy only to see some terrible scuffing on one side. On the whole the record looks like someone had it their collection for 20 years. Brutal.

Bought direct from Daptone. Pretty crappy sounding right out of the shrinkwrap even after a cleaning - extremely high noise floor, tons of clicks & pops. Maybe pressed from worn stamps? Also the outer sleeve is so damn small the inner just will not go in or out without a fight. Everything about this repress (or at least my copy) is disappointing since the music itself is great and all of this crap just gets in the way of enjoying it.

Yes my bad, was playing it on a stereo cart & didn’t realize it was mono. Thanks for pointing that out, I’d hate for people to be put off by my mistake.

Are you playing it on a mono cart? Mono records played back through stereo kits are super noisy. Apologies if you know all of this and just got a bad record like I did (see above).
